Mayan Fire Cupping

Greetings everyone, this is my first blog post ever. I want to thank you for taking the time to visit my site. I took a workshop on Mayan Fire Cupping with Alex Jackson from Centered Spirit in KCMO this spring and I enjoyed it so much, that I will be working towards a certification once he finalizes his program. Alex studied under a traditional Curanderismo in Mexico City; he is a true wealth of knowledge in the Mayan Healing Traditions and I am excited to learn from him. I will keep you all updated on the progress of when I will be offering that modality in my body-work sessions.

It is a lovely, and almost ritualistic way to get the blood flowing by breaking up adhesions without the use of deep pressure. Five minutes of cupping is the equivalent of 20 minutes of deep tissue work. And I can attest that it feels amazing to receive.
